El cruce a nado del río Uruguay organizado por club Remeros Paysandú es seguramente el más emblemático en el litoral del país. Se realiza desde 1935.
El pasado sábado 8, el cruce principal lo ganó por vez primera, Simón Rombys Sosa de 17 años, uno de los mejores nadadores de Uruguay hoy en día, el más veloz en 50, 100 y 200 metros mariposa.
Formado en CRP, hoy defendiendo a Olimpia de la capital del país.
Valentina Curttis fue la vencedora en la categoría damas.
En total formaron parte 65 nadadores del cruce principal.
